Article- Going for Broke by Andrea Ford
Summary- This article talks about how for profit colleges target students that are from poor families and how they draw the students in and make them take out a huge number of loans. The for profit colleges then take advantage of this because they fill their own pockets with these loans. This article also shows how these colleges make themselves look so appealing and use various marketing schemes to draw the person in. This goes with the idea of the student being turned into a consumer and the producers are selling education to them. The consumer (student) gets so amazed by the marketed that is presented to them by the for profit colleges that they decide to enter into the institution and this is where they become victim to the college. They end up taking out a huge number of loans that will follow them everywhere they go.
